Twin Lakes Dental has its roots in the Hadley Dental Group, established in 1980 by Dr. Thomas Hadley. After relocating to Monticello, Indiana, Dr. Hadley dedicated himself to providing quality dental care to the community for several decades. Under his leadership, the practice earned a reputation for its patient-centered approach and commitment to dental health.

In the fall of 2022, Dr. Thomas Hadley entrusted the practice to Dr. Lucas Trout. Dr. Trout, a skilled and compassionate dentist, took the helm with a vision to build upon the solid foundation laid by Dr. Hadley. Recognizing the opportunity to refresh the practice’s brand and identity, Dr. Trout rebranded the practice as Twin Lakes Dental, reflecting the local community and its values.

Since the rebranding, Twin Lakes Dental has continued to thrive, offering a wide range of dental services while maintaining the patient-first philosophy that has been the cornerstone of its success. With a renewed focus on modern dental techniques and personalized care, Twin Lakes Dental remains a trusted provider for the residents of Monticello and the surrounding areas.

Our Story

Dr. Lucas I. Trout

Dr. Trout, a dedicated and compassionate dentist, was born in the heart of the Midwest, in Muncie, Indiana. His journey through life has taken him to various vibrant communities, including Cincinnati, Ohio, Bloomington, Indiana, and Indianapolis, Indiana, deepening his connection to the region he holds dear. Dr. Trout's academic pursuits led him to the prestigious Indiana University School of Dentistry. In 2020, he moved to Monticello, Indiana, and began his career at Hadley Dental Group. Recognized for his expertise and dedication to patient care, Dr. Trout took the significant step of purchasing the practice in September 2022, rebranding it as a beacon of dental excellence.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Trout is a devoted family man, married to his beloved wife Ali. Together, they are the proud parents of six wonderful children: Autumn, Philip, Oliver, Colette, Corinne, and Sylvia. Dr. Trout’s commitment to his family mirrors his dedication to his patients, ensuring that each person who walks through the doors of his practice receives the highest level of care and compassion. With deep roots in the Midwest and a passion for serving his community, Dr. Trout continues to uphold the values of integrity, empathy, and excellence in dentistry.

Dr. Sara J. Musselman

Dr. Musselman was born and raised in Miami County, where she graduated from North Miami High School in 2010. After starting her college journey at Ball State University, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Indiana University of Kokomo in 2015. Following her passion for helping others, Dr. Musselman earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2020. Since then, she has been dedicated to serving the dental needs of community.

Deeply committed to rural healthcare, Dr. Musselman strives to make dental visits as comfortable and stress-free as possible for each of her patients. She believes in patient-centered care, where every individual feels heard, cared for, and valued. Her dedication extends far beyond the dental chair, as she has a heart for serving those in need. Whether it’s traveling to Kenya to provide dental care for children, participating in initiatives like Give Kids a Smile and Seal Indiana, or giving her time as a board member of the Miami County YMCA, Dr. Musselman has always been driven by a genuine desire to make a difference.

Outside of work, Dr. Musselman enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, hiking, and reading. She currently resides in Miami County with her aussie-doodle, Murphy, who brings her endless joy. Dr. Musselman is excited to continue practicing in the community she loves, providing compassionate care to every patient who walks through her door.
